Well, as much as it goes against our grain, we have decided to call it quits on the Lightning Striking Tree jigsaw puzzle. The dark blue and gray clouds consisted of about 400 pieces out of the 1,000 total pieces. We certainly don't mind a bit of a challenge but trying to test fit each single piece was too much for us. Some people really enjoy that type of challenge and the tree with the lightning strike looked awesome and we couldn't wait to finish so we could hang it in our son's room. But alas, the jigsaw puzzle beat us.
Our new jigsaw puzzle, shown below, is an 800 piece double circle type puzzle called Biodiversity. We built this in two halves and as we neared completion we then joined the halves to see what we were missing. This puzzle has a variety of animal and aquatic scenes and can be viewed from 360 degrees since the scenes go around the circles. As you can see from the picture there is a nice variety of color and contrast which helps to discern where everything should go. Plus, it's a big jigsaw puzzle measuring almost three feet long We finished this puzzle in two evenings and we will be looking for more of this type.
Have fun and puzzle on.
